4th February 2019

This week in English we have been reading the teachers diaries! We have been learning about the different features that make a good diary entry and even wrote a diary entry from the viewpoint of a dog. Woof! We have been recapping on people that lived in castles and have started to think about writing a diary entry for them.

In maths we have been thinking about patterns with shapes, symmetry in 2D shapes and learning about 3D shapes. As part of your home learning have a look at the things around you. Which 3D shape best describes them?

Here are some great symmetry games to plays…

This game is great for patterns…

In science this week we continued to look at different states of matter. We made predictions and then carried out an experiment to see how long it would take an ice cube to turn from a solid into a liquid.

We hope you have all signed up for parent teacher interviews- if not speak to the class teacher ASAP!
