This week in English the children have been re-writing the story George and the Dragon by Chris Wormell. WOW- is all we can say. The children have all worked SO hard to write some fantastic stories using their own characters and settings. We will be seeing lots more pen licences and writer of the week certificates!
In maths we have been doing some practice SAT papers to see how the children have been getting on. We have also been recapping on money- recognising the different coins and seeing how we can make the same amount using different coins (below is an example).
In ICT we learnt about computer animation – animation is a series of still pictures put together to create the illusion of movement. We watched this short Pixar clip
and then used 2 animate on 2 simple to create our own short animations. Purple Mash logins are in home learning books but we also sent them home this week so they children can have a go at home.
We are absolutely loving the new playground markings! The team captains helped to pick some of the different designs and were also involved in helping to lay some of them out onto the playground.
There are 30 children in the class. 5 children have a school packed lunch. 6 children have a home packed lunch. The rest have hot dinners. How many children have hot dinners?
If your child can show us or share the answers with us they could get a team point!
