Reception Blog – 25.03.19

This week the story is ‘Burglar Bill’ by Janet and Allan Ahlberg

The children will act out the story as normal and have a discussion about the moral of the story – when bad turns into good. The children might want to continue with the wanted posters that they talked about last week.

We will have the NSPCC pants lesson where the children will watch the Pantasaurus animation and we will talk about good and bad touch and explaining that what is inside their pants is private.

There is more information for parents here – http://www.nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/keeping-children-safe/underwear-rule/

In maths we are learning about estimation and will teach the children how to make an accurate guess. here are some games to play at home if you would like your child to do a bit more – https://nrich.maths.org/public/leg.php?group_id=73&code=-808

We will continue to play both indoors and out, do story scribing, writing dictated sentences, writing independently and reading.

Have a good week!
