1st April 2019

With the help of our friendly dinosaur Pantosaurus, talking PANTS is a simple way to teach your child how to stay safe from abuse. You’ve probably already talked to your child about things like crossing the road safely. Talking to them about staying safe from sexual abuse is just as easy with the PANTS rules. Click the link to watch the video but be warned- it’s very catchy! https://www.nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/keeping-children-safe/underwear-rule/

In English we have spent the week thinking about our senses and using these to write poems about castles. The children really got into character and have written some great poems!

In maths we have been recapping number bonds to 10 and 20. We have talked about commutative law (4 + 6 = 1o is the same as 6 + 4 = 10) and also using this knowledge to solve simple problems. For example…

4 + 6 = 10

6 + 4 = 10

10 – 4 = 6

10 – 6 = 4

We have 60 cakes and 32 get eaten. 24 more get baked. How many cakes are they now?

If your child can show us or share the answers with us they could get a team point!

This weeks words are…
